Qualifications

In 2018 I was awarded the degree of Doctor of Couple Psychotherapy (D.Cpl.Psych.) by world-renowned Tavistock Relationships. I conducted original research in couple therapy, developing a treatment model which integrates the emotional, relational and bodily-behavioural aspects of adult sexual relationships.

I have an MA in Attachment, Psychoanalysis and the Couple Relationship from Tavistock Relationships, London (2010). In 1996 I gained a Postgraduate Diploma (with Distinction) in Psychosexual Therapy at the Whittington Hospital, London. This followed a London-based psychodynamic counselling diploma for couple and individual work.

My professional interests have included being on the Editorial Board of the journal Sexual and Relationship Therapy for several years. A former Secretary of the British Society for Sexual Medicine, I am a visiting teacher at Tavistock Relationships and have been a speaker and chair at national and international professional conferences on many aspects of couple therapy and sexuality.
